About this Panel Discussion

Batteries are a critical component of the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. There is a growing need to sustainably manage supply chains for battery manufacturing, as well as the end-of-life of batteries. An enabling environment must be created for ensuring environmental, social, and economic sustainability of batteries for electric mobility. Governments, financiers, battery and vehicle manufacturers, transport operators, expert organizations and citizens all play a role in securing a sustainable life cycle of batteries.

This meeting discussed different aspects of sustainable EV battery manufacturing, including material sourcing.
