About this webinar
This webinar will present the latest progress and outcomes of the Global Environment Facility–funded project Investing in the Transformation to Electric Mobility in India. The project supports the Government of India and key stakeholders in decarbonizing transport systems through the large-scale adoption of electric mobility and improved access to finance across vehicle segments.
The session will highlight ongoing initiatives, including women’s e-bike pilots, electric vehicle (EV) charging pilots and municipal-level planning efforts, e-freight financing, and battery end-of-life management. The experiences and lessons from this initiative will provide valuable insights for countries across Asia and the Pacific pursuing sustainable, inclusive, and low-carbon transport development.
The project is implemented by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and executed by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), NITI Aayog, and WRI India.
