Battery Electric Bus Business ModelsAbout this Workshop

Integration of electric buses into public transport systems poses significant challenges. This online training workshop highlighted various ownership and operational models, shared key lessons from India’s successful e-bus adoption, and provided examples of practical application across the world. It also examined the institutional and regulatory frameworks necessary to support sustainable deployment and explored strategies to balance public and private sector interests.


About the Trainers

Avinash Dubedi​ and Chintan Daftardar​, both Program Heads for Transport at WRI India​, have between them 25 years of experience in public transport.

Avinash has over 15 years of experience leading research and projects on public transport, e-mobility and transport data analytics.

Chintan's career spans more than 10 years in sustainable mobility, public transport planning and e-mobility initiatives like the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme.
