A former Marine Engineering Officer in the Royal New Zealand Navy, Ashley spent 14 years deployed across the South Pacific and Southern Ocean on humanitarian and disaster relief operations, scientific research support, fisheries protection, and remote island resupply operations.

Holding a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Kumoh National Institute of Technology, South Korea, she combines her technical background with a strong passion for ocean conservation. As the Founder of Azura Indonesia, Nadea developed MantaOne, a flagship marine electric propulsion system designed to help small-scale fishers reduce fuel costs and carbon emissions. Through her initiative, the Nelayan Lestari Program, she integrates capacity building, technical assistance, and sustainable fishing practices to empower local livelihoods. Nadea continues to bridge innovation, sustainability, and community impact—championing inclusive climate action and the transition toward a low-carbon, ocean-friendly future.

Tria is a professor at the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute of the University of the Philippines Diliman, He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia and his MS and BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman. He also holds an MS Innovation and Business degree from the Asian Institute of Management. His research interests include power electronics, electric motor design, and energy systems such as solar photovoltaics and electric vehicles. He co-founded CHRG EV Technologies Inc., a startup that supports the local EV industry in the Philippines.

He earned his degree in Naval Architecture from Newcastle University, UK, in 1994 and has over 25 years of experience in the marine industry. His extensive background spans ship repair and newbuilding, yacht production, ship ownership, classification, and consulting. For nearly nine years, he has served in leadership roles within the EA Group’s electric vehicle business unit, focusing on research and development of battery systems and electric mobility solutions for both land and marine applications. His expertise bridges traditional naval design and cutting-edge sustainable mobility technologies. |
