Date: Wednesday, 3 December 2025
Time: 9:00 - 10:30 (GMT+7)
Venue: Ballroom 2, InterContinental Bangkok by IHG
Session Description
This session will explore innovative business models and emerging technologies that are driving the large-scale transition toward e-mobility. It will look at how new approaches across the value chain—from vehicle technologies and charging infrastructure to service design and financing mechanisms—are helping to make e-mobility more accessible, affordable, and sustainable. The discussion will highlight how innovation is not limited to technology but also extends to new ways of organizing partnerships, sharing risks, and creating value for both public and private stakeholders. The session will be composed of presentations with concrete examples of innovative technologies and business models for e-mobility, including on innovative battery leasing models for public transport, and the City Labs initiative – Supporting start-ups and innovations on city-level in Thailand, as well as a video presentation on the e-bus operating models in Santiago, Chile. After the presentations, group discussions among participants will be held to identify gaps and needs relating to the scale-up of innovative policies, regulations, financing schemes and business models for e-mobility in Asia and the Pacific and beyond.
