Session Description

This session will draw together conclusions from the regional meeting and workshop, provide an open floor for reactions from DMC participants and other event stakeholders, as well as present and discuss concrete next steps for taking forward some of the key conclusions from the event.

Mr. Bert Fabian, Senior Transport Specialist, Asian Development Bank (ADB) 

Mr. Fabian joined ADB as a Senior Transport Specialist in January 2025 supporting knowledge management, capacity building, and project pipeline development on transport decarbonization. He served the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) from 2013 to 2024 supporting transport, air quality, and climate change projects focusing on Asia and the Pacific stationed in Kenya and Thailand. He was a Coordinator of an intergovernmental body, hosted by UNEP, on air pollution and acid deposition in East Asia (EANET) comprising 13 participating countries from 2022-2024. He led UNEP’s activities in Asia and the Pacific on sustainable and low-emissions transport from 2013-2022. Prior to joining UNEP, Mr. Fabian was the Transport Program Manager of Clean Air Asia, an international non-governmental organization promoting better air quality, and healthier, more livable cities in the region. Mr. Fabian has a master’s degree on Urban and Regional Planning major in Transportation, and a B.S. Biology degree from the University of the Philippines.
